Named for pirate Jose Gaspar, who terrorized the coastal waters of West Florida during the late 18th and early 19th centuries, Tampa's annual Gasparilla celebration begins with the Gasparilla Invasion by mythical pirate José Gaspar and his crew. Members of Ye Mystic Krewe of Gasparilla, accompanied by a flotilla of hundreds of smaller boats, sail across Tampa Bay to downtown Tampa on the Jose Gasparilla, a 165' long "pirate" ship. Once the ship lands, the pirate captain demands that the mayor hand over the key to the city in a playful ceremony.

Gasparilla Details 

The Smooth C's is USCG Certified/Inspected for up to 19 passengers and includes two (2) USCG master captains, a first mate, fuel and gratuity. Rental includes up to 8 hours on the day of Gasparilla and
​up to 2 hours the night before to provision/decorate. 

Price: $6500.00 plus tax and $600 security deposit 
Terms: $2000 non-refundable deposit is required upon contracting.
The final balance is due 60 days prior to Gasparilla and is non-refundable.
​The $600 security deposit is refunded the day after Gasparilla as long as there are no damages. 
Crew gratuity is included.

In the event the City of Tampa cancels the Gasparilla Parade: 
You will receive a refund, minus $2000, which will remain
as a future credit towards another charter. 
 ​
